What is a Private Pilot Licence (PPL)? : The PPL is your first stepping stone into achieving your dream of becoming a pilot. It enables you to fly without reward with your friends, family or ones own private business. The fundamental ground theory and ab-initial training develops your skills and enables a strong foundation of knowledge for your aviation career going forward.
What are the Requirements? : Start training from the age of 16 years old, Pass an Aviation Medical, 45 hours (25 dual, 15 solo, 5 cross-country). *Note these are the minimum requirements and each candidates progress is determined on their performance during the practical training.
Duration: 3 to 6 months depending on being part-time or full-time candidate as well as personel performance.
Hours: 15 hours dual. This includes 5 hours basic instrument training , 5 Hrs further Instrument training as per night rating syllabus and 5 hours night including circuits and navigation.
What are the Requirements? : Hold a valid Private Pilot Licence, valid Aviation Medical and having passed the SACAA Night Rating Exam
Duration: 14 days. Note: Already included as part of the CPL/ME and ATP courses.
Hours: 40 dual approximately (includes 20 hours simulator training plus 20 hours instrument training already obtained).

Hours: 270 hours lectures
Duration: 9 weeks. Note: Already included as part of the CPL and ATP courses.
Hours: 200 (100 dual, 100 solo). This includes 5 hours on an BEE55/PA30/PA31 plus 15 hours multi, 50 hours solo navigation, 10 hours solo night and 40 hours instrument training/flying.
What are the Requirements? : Hold a valid Private Pilot Licence, valid Aviation Medical.
Duration: 18 Months (From beginning of PPL till completion of Commercial Pilot Licence)
